Client asked about a problem there were having when viewing great video on websites that the resolution wasn’t the best. There are ways to get it to play in HD from the YouTube dashboard under “playback.”
However it doesn’t seem to work consistently because I have several YouTube accounts and if I am logged into one and the settings are tweaked it may not give me HD.
So if you have your settings right in YouTube but still receive lower than 720 then here are a few solutions; plugin for Chrome and add-on Firefox. You should not be using internet explorer so I won’t be supporting that habit here :-)

Thanks for sharing. I haven’t used a plugin like this yet, but I’m willing to give it a try. I am tired of having to constantly click on the 1080p or 720p to get the resolution I want. I just wish they’d actually keep it at that. Oh well.
